949 Racing Blub @ Sonoma Raceway 5/25/19 on Xida
Just ordered a set today! 💪🏽
Thanks for your order. Tag #949racing on the gram!
I am running the NC Xida on my ST5 race car, very predictive in handling.
Why were these discontinued?
Too difficult to manufacture. We now offer the Whiteline kit. Fraction of the cost, far easier install, nearly as low friction.
That quite a good condition of paint all the way around! Is this an everything off paint job or just good condition from donor car?
Tub was enzyme dipped to strip paint and sealer. Seam welded then painted. In other states you can still get acid dipped to strip everything. Here in Cali, acid dipping was banned decades ago.
Absolute weapon
I'm sure it works great I'd still hand spin it the first two threads
I see this kit is discontinued on the website, any plans to bring them back or do you recommend going with the Whiteline kit? If so, will your bronze sleeves work with the Whiteline kit?
Shoot us an email or call info@949racing.com
How do these compare to the SuperPro bushings?
We were a superpro dealer for several years. These are a better design in every way. Plus the Superpro offset design has no provisions to lock them in place, making them basically non-functional with high grip tires.
Do you plan to make, or can you recommend, adaptors that attach the front end of the hoses to a stock NB1 front bumper, for a nice OEM look? Perhaps in the fog light cutouts.
No plans for that, sorry.
Try aircraft spruce for duct flanges
Looks like they have some nice features. How would you compare against the bronze sleeve bushing kit you offer?
These cost less than half, are much easier to install and service, have slightly more friction. These are the easy button.
Also, 100% Nitrogen has less wear resistance by having the least amount of reaction to the rubber material compared to just filling with atmosphere air.
do you ever recommend cleaning these sleeves? or is just a general wipe down here and there good enough?
The sleeves themselves don't need to be cleaned unless they are covered in mud or something.
Hi from Malaysia! <3
Any plans to develop them for ND MX5?
In development actually
Pretty cool info here
Glad you liked it!
First!
I'll take third! I ride flat out!
Yay first.
What spring rate is the helper spring ?
These use a 150# helper
Any info on the ND Tecnas? Last I saw on the forums Spring 2024. Wondering if that's still the tentative goal or if the timeline has slipped.
In development. No ETA yet.
Since they are steel, what’s the weight difference between oem setup with non swift springs?
Unknown. Frankly, weight saving wasn't a design priority for this street oriented coilover. Ride quality and durability were. If focused on track performance, look at our Xidas which are much lighter than OEM.
Im sold on both of your products. The NC xida and these bronze insert poly bushings. Sadly I imagine the front lower control arms will not allow enough rotation due to the constrained degree of freedom in the rear mount point. The ND fixed this flaw. You guys do real engineering. It shows. I love it.
Thanks. We don't actually offer an NC bushing kit though.
@@949RacingSuperMiata not yet :)
Hi. I saw this video years ago and I decided to buy 60G when I have chance. Next week I'll get my 60G for my NB and the factory (Quaife) recommended the closed loop shift cut. But MS3 does not have this feature. How did you tune the flatshift / loadcell in MS3? :) Thx in advance
Is the leftside upside down or is the rightside upside down? Is there a reason for this?
that end clip is great
I got a pair and the zerk fitting holes arent tapped... wtf do I do?
Shoot us an email info@949racing.com
@@949RacingSuperMiata thanks but I remembered I had some self tapping zerks that worked like a charm
how to remove bushings from oem parts?
Shoot us an email and we'll try to help :)
@supermiata is it possible to purchase 6/4 Touring version first, and then when we want the Sport behavior, purchase the 9/6 springs separately and exchange them?
We do not offer a spring exchange program, sorry. Call or email us and we will help you choose the right setup. That's what we do!
@@949RacingSuperMiata yet I see the swift springs on your website...
Behold
Shiny.
Looks great!!
6 years later, and yip, still a fucking fast lap!
So you have to rely on the bronze bushing to maintain a tight enough tolerance against the steel to prevent any play, while also being loose enough to allow the steel to rotate? Also, are these going to come back in stock anytime soon?
Discontinued. Sorry!
Insurance: well yes but actually no.....
But now Isn’t the problem reversed? Instead of cilinder 4 to be hotter the cilinder 1 will get the same issue? Because this system doesn’t allow the coolant to enter to the back and exit to the front. It’s the same as factory setting but reversed. So, what is the benefit?
The Qmax restores the coolant flow path the B series engine (and all inline fours) had when designed.
When will the nd bbk/duct kits be available?
ND BBK perhaps mid 2024. R&D now
Anybody else notice the missing timing cover bolt
Where is part 4?!
Nothing produced yet. All the important specs and info are on the product page and big form thread on miata.net. Give us a call or email if you have any questions.
YOOOOO ED!!! Tell him he’s the best. Responded quickly to all my emails and my tecnas are gonna be delivered in 2 days 😊
Do you have the part 2 video available?
We have not shot it yet. Covered most details in the big miata.net thread and the product page. Do you have any questions?
Thank you for the in depth intro. I am getting them for sure next year.
Hi I’ve got this coolant reroute with a pwr alloy radiator and spal 12” fan but I’m sitting at 96 degrees Celsius and the fan isn’t turning off, do you have any advice? It’s staying consistent but I don’t think it’s good that the fans have to stay on constantly
That's an interesting question. We handle tech support via email or phone calls. Info@949racing.com
Flat out. I always drive flat out!
I like your idea to mark the tie rod flats, and the arrow. Going to start using that on the SM cars I work on!
what do you guys charge to get one of these installed?
This particular Quaife kit was pretty much bolt in. But it has been discontinued by the manufacturer and we sold ours a few years ago.
Would like to purchase this car
We no longer own this car and it has changed hands a few times. Google "deviate k20" to see if you can find current owner. Good luck!
You have to move engine right
The engine does not need to be removed for installation of the Qmax reroute
Does it come in Black?
